Projects at Google X

These past couple weeks, there have been a few videos released from the group I work in at Google. Congratulations to the many people in X who's hard work has gone into each of these.

First the Kinect now Google Glasses...are you a space alien, traveler from the future...or just really good at getting involved with devices that change the way we interact with our computers?

I can't wait to get my hands on these, and I hope they are open as the Kinect.

How is it that you manage to be involved in all of the cool stuff!

Can you confirm whether or not you are working on Project Glass?

I know Google was looking for comments/input on the Project Glass page, but it looks like the 500 comment limit was reached with "TAKE MY MONEY NOW!!!" type comments.

Is there any intention of incorporating a DOF camera into these? That would really up the functionality in amazing ways...allowing a virtual overlay to the real world. Imagine pulling up to an empty table, having a virtual keyboard appear and a text editor displaying the output for you on the table...

That would be so cool.

Heck, if the above is possible, whats to stop from turning any screen into a touch screen with nothing more than a bluetooth connection?

I'm sorry to use this rather crude method to contact you, but you only have a postal mail address on your website :P

I am curating the "Augmented Society" program as part of the Dutch Electronic Art Festival (DEAF, www.deaf.nl) and would like to get in touch about Project Glass. We are organizing a workshop and debate about the future of AR, and perhaps you or someone else who worked on the glasses is interested to join us?
