Project Tango Update and Contest!

I know it has been a bit quiet on this blog. Apologies, I've been busy helping moving things forward with Project Tango. If you missed our Google IO 2015 talk, here it is:

 

 We have opened up purchasing of Project Tango tablets! Visit this link to purchase from the Google Play store. Currently, we are only shipping in the US but we hope to provide availability to select international locations soon.

We have also kicked off our first app development contest.  We are providing seed money awards from $1024, $2048, $4096, and $8192 - in 3 categories: Utility, AR/VR, and Entertainment.   Visit our contest page to enter and get more info.  Proposal are due June 29th!

Project Tango: NASA SPHERES

I posted about our collaboration with NASA a few weeks ago.  But, now we've had chance to finish out video showing how we are prepping the Project Tango devices for the trip!



It'll be really exciting to be able to generate 3D maps of the space station.
